Digital photography - 24th May 2020
Sunday 24th May 2020 (1pm - 4pm)
This half day course is designed to introduce participants to digital photography and to help you get to know your camera.
The day will begin onboard The Pinhole Studio with a discussion about different types of digital cameras, their uses and limitations. We will then discuss, demonstrate, dissect and hopefully simplify those aspects of photography that can often seem a little confusing, for example:
Depth of Field
Rule of thirds
*We will also discuss the importance of setting yourself projects to inspire your photography and touch upon some of the great themes in the process.
After the presentation we will take a short walk from the boat as a group to take photographs around the New Mills area. This will offer the opportunity for one to one discussion and to help get to grips with the specifics of your own camera.
*At the end of the course there will be an opportunity for participants to take a short 30 minute cruise where you can continue shooting or relax onboard and enjoy the view.
*NOTE: It is not essential to own your own camera for this course as a digital SLR (single lens reflex) will be provided. This may be a useful course to help you decide if an SLR is the best option for you or if your mobile phone will do all that you require (we can discuss).
Places limited to 5 persons.
